Introducing Sadie Jane and Hawthorne James

In 2018, Cat adopted these two littermates from Dalis to the Rescue in Michigan. They were her constant companions, especially during the weeks her children spent with their father. When Rick entered our lives, these furry 'traitors' quickly shifted their affections, much to our amusement! They both certainly have distinct personalities.

Hawthorne has a particular fondness for boxes, bags, paper, and essentially anything he can lounge in or play with. He's a playful spirit with an incredibly loud purr that can be heard from the next room. We affectionately call him our 'cry baby' due to his frequent meows. While he loves affection, it must be on his terms. He's remarkably fluffy, both in size and fur, and adores his sister. Despite being a bit of a 'scaredy-cat,' he enjoys his outdoor adventures on a leash.

Sadie enjoys affection, but she rarely stays still long enough to truly savor it. Her purr is incredibly soft, almost undetectable. She's a connoisseur of naps and a lover of food. Strangers are generally not her favorite; she tends to hide or hiss. She's even more of a 'scaredy-cat' than her brother and can be quite moody, a trait that has become more pronounced recently. While she usually loves her brother, her moods can sometimes lead to a week or two of giving him the cold shoulder. She expresses a desire to go outside, but once she's out, she often makes a quick retreat back indoors.

We love them dearly and jokingly refer to them as our first 'livestock' on the property.
